Mobile Suits (MS) are large human piloted suits used for war mostly. They have many different types, all named after Zodiac signs. There are both land (Leos, Virgos etc) and water ones (Cancers, Picese etc.) They are modeled after the Tall Geese, the first mobile suit ever. They are easy to pilot, anyone with any training can do it (although not neccesarily well, but they don't go nutzy...)

Unless you are a real newcomer to this show, you'll have figured out what Gundams are. However, I'll explain it quickly. Gundams are an advanced type of Mobile suits, piloted from inside using computers. They are built from Gundanium (hence the name), the strongest metal in existance. There were originally 5 of them, 01, 02, 03, 04 and 05, each coming from the colony of that name (L1, L2 etc), made to represent and protect the colony's interests. Epyon, the Earth's Gundam, makes it six. They are piloted by teenagers (exept Zechs, who's 21) who were trained for it. They've taken on the job of protecting the colonys, even if the colonys don't want them to.

Mobile Dolls (or MD) are Mobils suits that are computer controlled, so they have no pilots. You just input the target, and off they go. They are much faster than Mobile Suits, and the Gundams are pretty much the only people who can stand up to them. The Mobile Dolls are not well liked by Treiz, Zechs or the Gundams, since they eliminate the human factor, and make the war seem like a game. If you don't loose anything, you don't learn anything.

I talk about this alot in things like the Character Guide. The original Operation Meteor was Gundam's decent to Earth, they were to take it over, and if anyone questioned them, the Colony's, sabotaged, would be dropped onto Earth, burning up in the atmosphere and striking the Earth, causing a deadly climate for decades. Fortunetly, the Gundam Pilots got hold of the Gundams before they could be sent off for that, and decided to protect the colonys.

AC stands for After Colony (this confused the heck out of me, which is why I'm explaining it) AC to them is like AD to us, it's when it takes place. So, GW is in the future. They say AC 195 like we would say BC 419 or whatever. Therefore, GW must take place at the least almost 200 years in the future, when they've built colonys, the year they were built they started a new counting system, AC.

This is Heero's catch phrase. Literally it means I will destroy you, but we all translate it to mean I will kill you. It is usually accompanied by his Death Glare.
